'Dear Rosanne,Attending Samui TEFL has been one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Your course is incredibly thorough, well structured and professional. I now feel ready to face the challenge of English teaching in any environment and I doubt whether that would’ve been the case had I decided to obtain my certification elsewhere.There are many different options open to any student who wishes to obtain a TEFL certification and at times it can be confusing as to which road to take. That being said, I would not hesitate to recommend Samui TEFL to anybody who is looking to explore a career as an English teacher. The course materials are excellent, the practical experiences at the different schools in Koh Samui proved invaluable and you were always available to help me whenever I needed it (which was often!). I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful experience. The TEFL Koh Samui course lived up to everything promised on the internet. Your classes were well structured, very informative and fun. As a student I was prepared and informed by the time the practical side of the course started. You always delivered what you promised and took a lot of interest in each student. It takes a special person to teach a group, all from different backgrounds, and to make them all understand and be able to work together. 'The decision to acquire a TEFL certificate is an easy one, but to choose the proper school is a more complicated task, as there are plenty of schools on offer.It is very difficult to find out which one has the best program. Some of my friends had already received certificates from other schools, so I have now, after completing the course, enough facts to compare. My short resume would be that one may be able to find a cheaper way to get the desired certificate, but I am very confident that I was privileged to receive my training at SAMUI TEFL at one of the best schools in Thailand, if not the actual very best.
The main advantage is that Rosanne Turner, the owner and trainer at Samui TEFL, is delivering a program tailored to "produce" excellent teachers, while others obviously just focus on delivering a certificate to anybody who is willing to pay for it. Once standing in front of a class of students every teacher will realise the difference and will be very thankful that Samui TEFL school offers teacher practises at the International School Samui, preparing us at its best for real life situations. For me it is hard to imagine how somebody with an online certificate will ever be able to do a good job.
Even though the focus is clearly on practise, the theoretical part is very comprehensive and I feel now also totally confident about grammar and all the other important aspects of teaching English as a foreign language. As "additional benefits" I would like to mention the great location on Koh Samui, the amazing personality of Rosanne (who is really caring about each and every of her students), and the fact that she supported all of us when searching for jobs - in fact everybody in our group had already a job or at least some offers before we completed the course.
